Select the essential lights.
A city-wide programme rewards editing. Choose the installations or landmarks that matter most, then build a route around them instead of trying to collect every projection in a single evening.
Keep movement intentional.
Cluster stops that can be walked together and use transport only where it improves the sequence. A shorter route with fewer interruptions generally leaves more room to experience the city after dark.
Place dinner deliberately.
Dinner can open the evening, divide the route or become its final destination. Its location should support the light programme rather than force a detour away from the part of Berlin you actually want to inhabit.
